ADULT CLASSES

 

Adults will initially focus on building a solid foundation in technique and theory with an emphasis placed on practical and efficient self-defense methods. A solid foundation in the basics is essential for progress in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our program provides the students the chance to learn all of the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a dynamic and detailed class. Some of the techniques include: breaking falls, take downs, submissions, escapes, holds, leverage and balance. The adult classes are open to men and women.

 

Self-Defense Classes


The Self-Defense Fitness Program is aimed to provide the ultimate solution against attackers, sexual offenders, and rapists through the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The techniques in this program are designed to help anyone escape from their attacker, whether they are on their feet or on the ground.

Standing Techniques

Ground Techniques

Muay Thai Kickboxing

 

Muay Thai is a form of martial art practiced in large parts of the world, including Thailand and Southeast Asian countries. It has a long history in Thailand and it’s the country’s national sport. Muay Thai practiced today uses kicks, punches, elbows and knees in a ring with gloves similar to those used in Western boxing.

Muay Thai is referred to “The Art of Eight Limbs” as the hands, shins, elbows and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai thus has the ability to execute strikes in such a manner to inflict extensive damage to one’s body to a point where simply standing up could be no longer an option.

Most Common benefits

Large numbers of students embrace the sport for fitness rather than its martial qualities. Training delivers excellent health benefits: greater strength, fat loss, increased endurance, increased quickness, tremendous flexibility and coordination as well as an improved confidence and self esteem. Training in Thai boxing can be an excellent way to get into shape, have fun, and learn a realistic form of self defense. You can burn anywhere from 500 – 800 calories in one session.

Due to its effectiveness in real combat, Muay Thai, as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, is practice by most if not all top Mixed Martial Artists in action today.

Program

Beginners, intermediate and advanced students are mixed into the same class. This set up will allow new students to improve faster and more confidently towards their goals. We encourage our more advanced students to work with new ones for that purpose. Safety is, and will always be our number one priority. Everything we do in class from beginning to end is to ensure that everyone gets maximum results while staying injury-free. With that being said, the last thing we want to see form a new student is power blasting techniques on the bags, pads or mitts. This type of behavior won’t allow you to learn proper technique and will increase your chances of injury.

Training segments are great workouts that develop toughness, physical as well as mental conditioning, and a “Never Quit” attitude.

In the Muay Thai class you will find competitive athletes, moms, dads and teenagers. In addition, students from other disciplines are now increasingly turning to Muay Thai to supplement their own training, thanks to its wide-ranging physical benefits and extremely versatile striking techniques.
